Social media marketing allows companies to directly interact with the public. When companies use platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram they are able to connect with potential customers. By being able to use these platforms, companies have control of the message they promote as well as their brand. If you are using social media marketing make sure to be accessible, patient, and connect with your audience.

 

There are many benefits to social media marketing. These benefits include: increased brand recognition, brand loyalty, customer insights, decreased marketing costs, and more ( Forbes.com ). Using this type of marketing allows you to interact with your customers and receive feedback on your product. These insights can prove to be useful and ultimately improve your brand.

What does this mean? When comparing traditional marketing to social media marketing, it was found that social media marketing was more effective in helping companies grow their consumer base. Social media marketing allowed its clients to reach more customers through a variety of platforms.
The article also states that 70 percent of businesses have been able to gain customers through Facebook. When companies adapt to new ways of marketing and utilize these tools they are able to interact with more people who are susceptible to their business.
